Refund Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Freight charges are largely paid out to carriers and third parties, so refunds depend on what has already been spent on your behalf. This policy explains when FARCO, Inc. refunds or credits charges. It works together with our Terms of Service.
1. Cancelling before cargo moves
- If you cancel before we book with a carrier, nothing is owed and any prepayment is refunded in full.
- If you cancel after booking but before departure, you are charged only the carrier cancellation fees and third-party costs already incurred (for example, trucking already performed), plus any FARCO handling fee stated on your quote. The rest is refunded.
2. Billing errors
If an invoice includes a duplicate charge, a rate different from your accepted quote without a documented reason, or a service not performed, report it in writing within 30 days of the invoice date. Confirmed errors are refunded to the original payment method or credited to your account, at your choice, within 10 business days.
3. Service failures within our control
If a shipment misses its booked departure because of an error by FARCO — such as a late EEI filing or a missed pickup we confirmed — we will waive our own handling and documentation fees for that shipment and work to rebook at no additional FARCO charge. Carrier and third-party charges are not refunded under this section unless they were caused solely by our error.
4. Delays outside our control
Carrier schedule changes, weather, port congestion, customs inspections, and similar events are not grounds for a refund of freight charges. We will keep you informed and help minimize added costs.
5. Warehouse charges
Storage charges are refunded if they resulted from a delay caused by FARCO. Receiving and palletizing fees for services performed are not refundable.
6. Documentation services
Standalone documentation or EEI filing fees are refundable if the work has not begun. If we make an error in a document we prepared, we correct it at no charge.
7. Loss or damage
Loss or damage in transit is handled through carrier claims and, where purchased, cargo insurance — not through freight refunds. We assist with every claim.
8. How to request a refund
Email support@farcocargo.us or call (305) 593-6418 with your invoice and shipment reference. We acknowledge requests within one business day and send a written decision within ten business days. Unresolved disputes follow the mediation process in our Terms of Service.
